Garden Hippo
We were relaxing by the pool at the Lake Baringo Club when folks
started getting excited about something. We got up to have a look and found
this Hippo had decided to come in from the lake for an afternoon snack.
(Generally, they only come out of the water to feed at night.) The hotel
security guard was called in to get the Hippo back in the lake. (Yeah
right!!) Anyway, he wasn't having any luck and the Hippo simply ignored
his attempts to scare him away. Finally, the security guard began throwing
large rocks at the Hippo. When he hit it with one, the Hippo got mad and
started charging at the man. I'm unsure what happened next as I didn't
hang around to find out if this pissed-off Hippo was going to head my way!
